my first painting in acrylics

Painting in acrylics is so much fun.I loved doing this one and I enjoyed my first experiment in acrylics on canvas pad 9x12in.

This adorable 7 months old girl is Italian, from Sardinia and her name is Martina. Her grandmother gave me the permission to draw her.Colored pencils on Canson Mi-teintes pad 8x11in.

This is my first giveaway and I am so excited.Four art prints of my best fruit artwork will go to the winner.They will be printed on matte photo paper and make great gifts as postcards or just make an accordion card to display on your desktop.Each print is 3.5x5in. and is after a work in oil pastels, watercolor or colored pencils.The logo will not show on the prints.

Mexican mask

This is an oil pastel painting on Canson Mi-teintes pad 8x11in after a mexican mask from my husband's collection of ethnic masks.

Mixed media Hindu Statue

I sketched this in Derwent tinted charcoals and sanguine, sepia pencils and added some very dry almost chalk like oil pastels bought in India.It's a Strathmore pad drawing 11x14in.For the challenge on Inspiration all around us where I submitted my own picture.

Mask from China

Derwent Tinted charcoal, sanguine and sepia on Canson MI-teintes pad 8x11in.

First time working with tinted charcoal, rather hard, the pigmanet is not very vivid, not what I expected, anyway.I guess it works best in combination with sanguine and sepia.I have only 6 colors,  but really beautiful are the green and lavender.
